Phoenix Studios is an independent film production team of students at the University of Exeter, founded by Hugo Kilner. Formed in 2022, we have developed multiple short films with a variety of different tones and styles.

 

In 2023, we premiered our first film, Gridlock, at Worcester Film Festival, where we were fortunate enough to be nominated for Best Performance. We have subsequently received Best Student Film nominations for multiple projects at Wales International Film Festival, RS FilmFest and Phoenix Rising International Film Festival.

We have just released Bollocks, a successfully crowdfunded short film and by far our most ambitious to date!
